WGC Jimmer Fredette
4/8/2010 - 6/17/2023
We are very sad to share that Jimmer Fredette succumb to a twisted intestine and perforation on Saturday. He was rushed to the Equine Surgical Center at Thorsport and operated on by Dr. Blake Everett where he was diagnosed.
Owned and deeply loved by Carole and Lee Baxter and trained his entire show career by Dale Watts, Jimmer was Reserve WGC Two-Year-Old in 2012 and WGC Four-Year-Old in 2014.
Already a World Champion sire, Jimmer's popularity as a stallion was building and he has been very successful here at Sugar Creek. Our entire staff at Sugar Creek all loved and will deeply miss Jimmer.
A full obituary will be forthcoming.

Gens Black Maverick

2008-2023

The 2017 World Grand Champion Gen's Black Maverick was laid to rest on January 2, 2023, due to complications from colic.

Throughout his extraordinary career he won 23 Blue Ribbons and 16 Stake Championships. He was crowned the 2014 World Champion, 2014 Reserve World Grand Champion, 2015 World Champion, 2017 World Champion, and 2017 World Grand Champion. Bill Callaway and Maverick were undefeated in regular show season competition, earning 11 championships.

In 2022, he received the Ascending Sire of the Year award from TWHBEA, proving his success as a sire and as a show horse.

Maverick spent his last months in the place that he loved most, with the team that made him the great stallion that he became, Callaway's.

We feel very blessed to have owned Maverick and thank everyone who supported him and helped write his success story, and a very special thanks to Allan, Bill and John Allan for their steadfast love and devotion to Mav.

The Super Bowl

World Grand Champion The Super Bowl was laid to rest January 2, 2023 at Cedar Tree Farms in Hamilton, Alabama. Sired by Gen's Major General and out of the top producing mare My Magic Dream, The Super Bowl was bred by TWHBEA Master breeder David Landrum. Prior to his two-year-old season, The Super Bowl was selected by Dr. Rafael and Pat Rigual to become part of their legendary show string that also included The Super Bowl's world grand champion brothers The Lottery, Sweepstakes and The Stanley Cup. The Super Bowl found show ring success very early in his two-year-old season with two blue ribbon performances at the prestigious Mississippi Charity Horse Show and followed those wins with a blue at Belfast. His two-year-old season culminated with a World Championship performance in the two-year-old stallion division and the title of Two-Year-Old World Grand Champion. The Super Bowl followed up his maiden season with another top performance at the Celebration as a three-year-old claiming another World Championship title in the highly competitive three-year-old stallion division.

The Super Bowl's accolades were not however limited to the show ring. He proved to be a successful producer of show horses namely producing World Champion and perineal show ring favorite A Super Bowl MVP. In 2018, The Super Bowl was selected by the partnership of John Fikes and Erik Smith to stand at Cedar Tree Farms in Hamilton, Alabama where he had first stall privileges and continued producing high quality offspring.
